I want to run my scanner on Linux and let the Mac post-process the PDF files some of the time (OCR and embed the page thumbnails). Acrobat does not make it easy (to do many things, but among them...) to run a batch process automatically when files are deposited into a folder. I want to run my scanner on Linux and let the Mac post-process the PDF files some of the time (OCR and embed the page thumbnails). It's very hard to find a way to do this, especially one that's not too much of a kluge.
